Born and raised overseas in Hong Kong, Edwin Chin came to the United States when he was fifteen years old to attend the Groton School in Massachusetts.  During his time at Groton, Edwin was a member of the varsity squash team and won All-ISL honors as a senior.  He was also co-chair of Groton Community Service, a student-led community service organization dedicated to serving elders and special needs patients.  His dedication to the public service extended to his college years at Yale University, where he was a Dwight Hall volunteer for four years.  He regularly volunteered at local high schools and led educational discussion groups with students on youth health and rights.  In addition, Edwin was the publisher for the Yale Herald from 2001-2003, a weekly student publication with a circulation over 5,000.  At Yale, Edwin majored in Economics and Mathematics, and he also served as a member on the Undergraduate Economics Curriculum Committee.  Following graduation, Edwin relocated to New York City and embarked on a successful career in finance and real estate.
